About The Thermo Fisher Bursary Programme:

The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust invites students to apply for their bursary scheme for the 2024 academic year. This bursary grant is intended for Black students studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust hopes that by providing a bursary opportunity, Black students can pursue their academic aspirations while also acquiring empowerment. The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust is a large-scale black economic empowerment effort.

Eligibility requirements for the Thermo Fisher Bursary:

Applicants must achieve the following minimal entrance criteria before applying (please note that failure to meet all of the requirements may result in your application not being considered):

  • You cannot be older than 35 years of age.
  • You must be Black, according to B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
  • You must have finished Matrics.
  • You must be studying or intending to study for a STEM-related qualification.
  • You must study at a registered and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be economically disadvantaged and need financial assistance.
