Who Needs to Apply?

Those who intend to begin a new qualification must submit an admissions application, which includes:

  • First-time candidates to Unisa
  • Present students looking to alter their degree program or area of focus
  • Students who want to pursue undergraduate studies after earning a higher certificate
  • People who applied before got an offer but didn’t register or accept those who intended to enroll through the Unisa-TVET cooperation in a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college.

Unisa 2025 Application Closing Dates:

Applications to Unisa’s undergraduate programs, honors programs, and postgraduate diplomas must be submitted by October 11, 2024. The deadline for Unisa Master’s and Doctoral applications is November 22, 2024.

How To Apply At Unisa?

For the upcoming year, follow these steps to apply to Unisa:

  1. Access the ‘Apply for admission’ webpage.
  2. You may choose the qualification you wish to apply for once you’re here. Select the qualification type you are using.
  3. After reading the details, select “Start the process.”
  4. After reading the material, select “Proceed to ODL and Unisa.”
  5. After reading the content, go back to the top and choose the “Are you certain about your career?” circle with a number two within.
  6. After reading the information on Unisa application requirements, go back to the top and choose the “Choose or find your qualification?” circle with a number 3 within. You can ‘Explore qualifications by interest fields’ by scrolling down if you need more information about the various faculties and courses. Once you’ve decided which faculty and which degree you want to study, click the circle with the number three within it that reads “Choose or find your qualification?” once again to return to the selection screen.)
  7. Next, you can choose your qualification based on level or college (faculty).
  8. Once there, you may view the many credentials that Unisa provides for that faculty or college. You may get details about entrance criteria and the modules relevant to each qualification by clicking on the various qualifications. You can also obtain registration and curriculum information by clicking on that link.
  9. You then return to the page with the step circles on top, displaying the various qualifications available.
  10. After locating the qualification you wish to apply for, click the “Apply for admission” circle with the number 4 inside it.
  11. After reading the details, select “CLICK HERE to apply online.”
  12. Click the bubble next to the certification you’re working for in the first part.
  13. Click “yes” if you already have a student number. Click “no” if not.
  14. Enter your information and adhere to the instructions.
  15. When you’re finished, you must turn in the necessary paperwork.
