ISFAP was established to guarantee that South African students from lower-class and middle-class backgrounds would have equal access to higher education as their more affluent peers. This financing strategy is intended to be sustainable while assisting students in reaching their objectives and earning credentials for Occupations of High Demand (OHDs). South Africa needs more accountants, actuaries, engineers, artisans, physicians, and pharmacists, according to analysis of its OHDs.
Developing an equitable society and South Africa’s continuous economic growth depend on these professions. ISFAP, a partnership between the South African government and several business sector players, seeks to lower higher learning dropout rates, improve employment prospects for graduates, and strengthen the nation’s skill base.
ISFAP does not offer money to TVET students since it only supports students enrolled in certain universities.
